There were not too many recalls this last week. The big news is still the Graco stroller recall and the Doral crib recall that I talked about last week. Double check your models and make sure you don’t have an affected model. The stroller recall is for fingertip amputation! (ya, really) and the crib recall is for entrapment…check your models and get the repair kits offered. Here are the significant recalls I found last week:
- Tiny Tink and Friends Children’s Toy Jewelry Sets recall - I always cringe when Disney products are recalled, because you know a lot of them are already out there in kid’s hands. At least with this one, there is only a tiny part of the toy affected. There is too much lead in the tiny metal connector on the Pixie Dust Charm. If you have one of these sets, discard the charm and contact the manufacturer for a replacement charm.
- Princess and the Frog Necklaces sold only at Walmart recalled - Again with the Disney recall. This one is a little worse than the previous. These necklaces contain too high levels of Cadmium. The whole toy is affected. Return the product to Walmart for a full refund.
- CYBEX Strollers- Prompted by the Graco recall, CYBEX realized they have a similar fingertip amputation issue. If you have a CYBEX stroller, check your model and then contact the company for a repair kit.
- Radio Shack Knight Hawk Toy Helicopter recall - The battery on these can get too hot while recharging and start on fire…which is really. not. good. If you have one, take it right now, today to a Radio Shack store of a full refund.
